Every child develops at their own pace, and of course, that’s perfectly okay. But sometimes, little challenges in everyday routines can hint that extra support could make a big difference. Here are a few signs to watch for:

  1. Struggles with everyday tasks — getting dressed, brushing teeth, or using utensils feels unusually difficult.

  2. Avoids certain textures or sounds — clothing tags, loud noises, or messy play might cause big reactions.

  3. Tires easily or appears clumsy — frequent tripping, dropping items, or tiring after short play periods.

  4. Trouble focusing or sitting still — even short attention tasks can feel overwhelming.

  5. Difficulty with fine motor tasks — writing, cutting, or buttoning seem frustrating or delayed.

Occupational therapy can help children build these skills in fun, playful ways — turning small daily battles into proud milestones.

If you’ve noticed a few of these signs, it might be worth a friendly conversation. Early support often makes all the difference.
